Review of the School Mission and underpinning Christian Values21 March 2025 (by Andrew Rudge (arudge)) |
Dear Parents,
This year, school staff have worked together to revisit our school mission, ‘Care, Believe, Succeed,’ and the Christian Values that underpin this mission. Staff chose four key values that we feel most closely underpin Care, Believe, Succeed: Community, Respect, Perseverance and Wisdom.
To ensure that these values are lived out, understood and impactful on all members of our school, we will be making some changes to some school systems.
For example, our rewards system will be changed, with Class rewards being renamed ‘Community Awards’, Gotchas becoming ‘Respect Awards’, Pride awards becoming ‘Perseverance and Wisdom Awards’.
Another change will be in our House teams. Previously Houses have been named Diamond, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire; but from Easter, we intend to rename each House after a notable person who embodies one of the values, Community, Respect, Perseverance and Wisdom.
We would love to ask for any ideas of people who you think would be appropriate as names for the houses. In addition to this, we are asking for your ideas on what impact our mission ‘Care, Believe, Succeed,’ should have on your children’s experience of primary school and how it prepares them for the rest of their lives.
These ideas will inform a collective mission statement that will drive the school forward. Please complete this questionnaire to share your ideas with us.
