We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas break and are looking forward to welcoming you and your children back tomorrow morning. 

Please be advised that roads around Church Broughton have been flooded this morning, with many drivers not attempting to get in or out of the village via Sutton Lane, Bent Lane or Cote-Bottom Lane. The floods do appear to be receding and we are hopeful that by tomorrow morning, given the current forecast, the main routes into Church Broughton should be passable. However, please be advised that Woodyard Lane is shut at present (the sign suggesting this is for 4 days) - seek alternative routes please.

Staff will be out to assess main routes early tomorrow morning and will notify you if there are any issues for you to be aware of as early as possible.

Finally, we ask that children come to school dressed warmly. The forecast for the rest of this week and into next week, gives very cold temperature predictions, so we would recommend winter coats, gloves and hats and long trousers for those boys who always wear shorts!
